Tridium BACnet Routing Enabled
Tridium BACnet Routing Enabled
Hello,In which case do we need to enable BACnet routing in Tridium BACComms?
I cannot see some BACnet devices anymore. Do we need to set them up to broadcast their ID to everyone?
Thanks,
Bacnet routing would be using the Jace as a bacnet router to pull devices into a server or another platform without using the Niagara Network Fox Connection. Or for like JCI controllers you can program controllers across different trunks rather than having to be on each specific one. Definitely need you instance numbers in check in routing is enabled.
You really gotta give us more to go off of on your posts.
But Id say if youve already had them online and communicating for a while and now they arent.. then something changed. Could be many things. But to start usually check, do they have power? The network IP/MSTP trunk seem fine and talking to units before/after these devices? Has IT made changes lately?

Why would the JACE change the network number of devices connected to the its port?Do we need to enable BACnet routing on each JACE? If all my devices have their IP port configured as network number 1, do we still need to enable BACnet routing or it will only be the supervisor acting as server…
Many Thanks
Just nvm on the network part. I was just trying to get at, idk if its MSTP or IP as you dont provide much detail..
If you already had them in the Jace and communicating and now you dont randomly. leave it as it and dont mess with the routing or anything.
Go look at the devices and troubleshoot it. Probably a transformer tripped,or someone shut off a breaker. Go try and figure it out then come back with more detailed info of things youve tried/found. Not going to learn having it all laid out for you.
