Part Number
Hi all: I have an old Lennox system in my shop. Had some issues with it and now need help finding a part. Unit info is as follows:
CB11-26-261-1p 2 ton Air handler. It does not have an expansion valve but an orifice with a screen in it. My screen is in bad shape looking to replace the orifice cartridge. Cannot find a part number on it or anywhere on the net. As a certified auto A/C tech I cannot seem to get info off the Lennox site either. Any ideas? Anyone have access to a parts manual?

Why is it in bad shape? Why is it even out?

Coil temperature was high. Superheat and subcool were not correct. Air filter was new, coil not froze, good air flow, I pumped it down and checked the orifice. The screen was dirty and brittle. Unit was converted a couple years back from R22 to R407C.

should have a TXV then. also, parts are NLA for this. I looked.edit – any “regular” inlet screen should probably fit.

Exactly why a filter at the air handler is needed after a conversation to POE!
Just clean the screen.

I’ll pick up a liquid line filter dryer, install it near as I can to the orifice device and drill the screen out – leaving the orifice alone. Evacuate the lines and see how it runs.

I only use 407c AFTER the compressor is replaced. Maybe your technician found a “better” way.

Tag says they changed it. But you never get all the old out. Also the lines near the compressor (looking through the fan fins) appear to be newer solder connections and not as pretty as factory ones I’ve seen.

Sorry we could not be of assistance with that request.

Sorry to have broken the rules. Didn’t understand that to be an issue. Should have looked into it (rules) better.
