HVAC course or Electrical course for commercial appliance
HVAC course or Electrical course for commercial appliance repair?
Hello Forum,
Thank you for taking the time to read.
I am keen to learn about appliances and commercial appliances (have no knowledge of anything yet). There are couple schools around New York and am deciding between taking the HVAC course or the Electrical course, both about 8-10 months long. And after graduation, to get into an advanced course for appliance repair.1. I cannot find a direct appliance repair school that I know around NYC (feel free to share if you know a school or course that directly teaches this).
2. Through your experiences, which course would be a better base for commercial appliance repairs, such as used in restaurants (ovens, dishwashers, pizza ovens).
– HVAC or Electrical or neither?Regards,

Also contact the OEMs of the machines. They often have dedicated repair and servicing courses. Some franchise restaurants also have dedicated courses for all the machines they use. Example, Subway has one in Wisconsin and you learn the microwaves, ice machines, ovens, proofers, soda machines, etc.

Is this so you can enter the service industry or to work on your own equipment?
